6 days of Mountain Bike from Barcelona connecting several Natural Parks. Self guided mountain bike with 300km. (186mi) and 7.000m. (23.000ft) elevation gain to discover picturesque trails and single tracks in: Collserola, Montserrat, St. Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac, Montseny and Corredor
Nature, modernism, thermalism, crafts, chapels, and castles, picturesque spots, and breathtaking landscape views are part of the beauty of this tour added to the demanding sportive challenge

Day 1. Barcelona to Terrassa
40 km – 900 m
25 miles – 2.952 feet
You will start the Barcelona 300 challenge from Terra BikeTours shop in Barcelona. Leaving Gracia district you will follow the track while leaving behind Barcelona and continue up towards the Tibidabo. The views of Barcelona are magnificent. At the top you will decent through Collserola, immersed in the natural park under oaks, with numerous corners of earth removed by wild boars. The path requires you to focus on driving because of stones, ditches and roots. You will come up to the Torreferrera hill through a narrow path. By leaving the train station you will take the Vallès Greenway by crossing small tunnels under roads. A narrow path unfrequented will find the forest of Sant Quirze and headed towards the hill of Can Camps. You will climb up the trail that leads to the Sierra Galliners sharing with fields, orchards and small trees while enjoying the views of the Vallès plain. La Mola and Montsserrat will escort you to reach Terrassa.

Day2. Terrassa to St. Vicenç de Castellet

41 miles – 4.429 feet
You will start by climbing a forest of oaks and pines and reaching the beautiful House of Pineda. and soon leads you to the Obac house. From this iconic place of the natural park of San Llorenç, you will ride next to the ice well. The downhill soon becomes fast track. The last two kilometers to Rellinars will be an up and down trail. By passing the village of Vilar and Monistrol de Montserrat you will cross the Llobregat river, from where you will approach to the foot of the mountain of Montserrat through tracks that give you stunning postcard views of this mountains. The uphill trail leads to the village of Marganell and asphalt up to the monastery of Montserrat. You are in the heart of the legendary Catalan Mountain: the Black Madonna, the Choir of Montserrat, “Mel i mató” (white cheese and honey) are just some of the iconic items of this magical place. While still enjoying the magnificent views of the valley Llobregat you will descent by road to Santa Cecilia. This old Benedictine abbey has more than ten centuries of history. Here you will take you dirt road down to San Vicenç.

Day 3. St. Vicenç to Caldes de Montbui

41 miles – 4.757 feet
You willl leave behind the Llobregat river valley and through solitary trails you will end up reaching the beautiful village of Mura. In an area known as the Montcau Valleys and its spectacular singletracks and trails will delight all Mountain bike riders. Crossing the natural park you reach Sant Llorenç, you cycle then along up and down route with moderate incline until you encounter Sant Sebastià de Montmajor a peaceful and nature rich location. You descent to the Caldes de Montbui known for its thermal waters. You are now halfway to complete the BCN 300.

Day 4. Caldes de Montbui to Cànoves
49 km – 1.700 m
30,7 miles – 5.577 feet
At the second half of the tour you will surely start feeling your tired body, without doubt some of the previous hills have taken their toll in your legs. You will start cycling through typical Mediterranean forests crossing small villages and peaceful spots up to the summit of Puiggraciós from where you can have views of most of the counties surrounding Barcelona. After this you descent exciting singletracks of red soil to the valley to end in the village of the El Figaró. From here the longest climb of the tour starts with a vertical gain of 700 metres in just 8 Km. This climb will take you into the Montseny mountain range. A last descent at fast trails under the shades of chestnut, oak, and pine trees, will carry you to a lake and your hotel.

Day 5. Cànoves to Cabrils
41 km – 860 m
25,5 miles – 2.820 feet
This stage doesn’t have any fountains nor villages in the way so, you must bring with you some food and water from the starting point. You will climb El Corredor range swapping the inside and the coastal side with a continuous up&down. You will cross the road in Órrius where, if you go out of the track, you will find a fountain: Font de Sant Bartomeu, following the local signals, about 400m by a cyclable singletrack. Following the path, always tending to climb, you will arrive at Dolmen Roca d’En Toni. From there to Cabrils, all the way down.

Day 6. Cabrils to Barcelona
30 km – 400 m
18,6 miles – 1.312 feet
As yesterday’s stage, you must bring with you some food and water because you wont find any fountains or village till the entrance of Barcelona. You will start with a hard climb following the crest of the mountains which will take you to Barcelona. A path with great views to the North Coast, the sea and the city of Barcelona. Despite it’s a soil path, you will have to climb some steep slopes till the Iberian Town. Then, you will take a bit technical downhill till Besos riverside. From there, you will ride quietly by a flat bike path till the beach. Final prix for this adventure before entering to the city of Barcelona on your way to Terra Bike Tours shop.
