The tour in detail
Day 1 – Arrival in the Pyrenees
We will meet at 9:00 AM at Terra BikeTours in Barcelona and drive for approximately two hours to Puigcerdà .
After a light lunch and getting changed into our cycling kit, we’ll head out for a warm-up ride on the winding secondary roads of the French Pyrenees, passing through charming villages such as Montlouis, Eyne, and Llo.
Dinner will be at a local restaurant, where we’ll enjoy mountain products and regional cuisine.
Route: 50 km / 800 m
Meals: Lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Mas San Marc
Day 2 – The Roof of Catalonia
Puigcerdà – Ripoll
The day starts strong with the climb up the Collada de Toses to Coll de la Creueta (1,920 m), one of the highest yet most rideable mountain passes in the area and the gateway to the La Molina ski resort.
After a long descent, we’ll arrive in Ripoll.
Route: 72 km / 1,200 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Boutique Hotel La Trobada
Day 3 – Medieval Villages
Ripoll – Banyoles
After a few warm-up kilometres, we’ll begin the first climb of the day. The route takes us through medieval villages such as Beget, Oix, and Besalú, passing Castellfollit de la Roca, where we’ll admire the area’s volcanic landscape.
We’ll finish the day in Banyoles, enjoying a sunset stroll by the lake.

Day 4 – The Balcony of EmpordÃ
Banyoles – Figueres
Today we climb to Mare de Déu del Mont, a long and steady ascent offering panoramic views over the entire region — from the Pyrenean peaks to the Mediterranean Sea. A perfect opportunity to take in the full scope of the journey.
In the afternoon, you may visit the Dalà Museum, located just a few kilometres from our hotel.
The visit is not included in the tour, but we can organise it for you.

Figueres – Cadaqués
Today’s route highlights the contrasts of the journey. We ride across the Empordà wine region before climbing the Col de Banyuls and descending into France.
We then follow the coastline, passing fishing villages such as Portbou and Port de la Selva, until reaching Cadaqués — the beautiful white village that was once home to Salvador DalÃ.
Route: 90 km / 1,400 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch. Dinner free in Cadaqués
Accommodation: Hotel Blaumar
Day 6 – Return to Girona
Cadaqués – Girona
We say goodbye to the coast and head inland towards Girona, where our journey comes to an end.
Along the way, we’ll visit Castelló d’Empúries and its 13th-century basilica. Most of the day unfolds along quiet secondary roads with rolling terrain until we reach Madremanya, where we face the final challenge of the trip: the climb to Santuari dels Àngels, Girona’s most famous ascent and a true cycling paradise.
After some rest and free time to explore Girona’s old town, we’ll celebrate the end of the tour with a well-earned pizza!

What our clients have to say about us
Posted on Josh Fields6 February 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Incredible resource within the heart of Barcelona. Plenty of well-maintained road and gravel bikes for rent set to fulfill any cycling need you may have. Pump, levers, tube, hex wrench, all included to ensure a safe ride. Helmets and varying pedals are for rent as well. Shop folks were graciously helpful, and ensured I'd had an enjoyable route up in the mountains. If you're looking for the means to make your Barcelona stay the best it can be, saddle up with the help of TBT. During the last years I rent several times bikes at this place, they have road/hybrid/city/gravel as well as mountain bike from mid range alu frame to top of rhe range carbon frame. The staff is friendly, there are all passionate cyclist. A mecanic takes a few minute to do the basic maintenance before each rent. So the bikes are always working perfectly! the great thing is that they aloso provide, helmets, bikepacking bags, cycling shoes!Posted on Natalie Ki5 January 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Such a great service provided by Terra BikeTour We were a drop in day rental for di2 road bikes. Both bikes were in great condition and followed one of their suggested routes. English is spoken in shop if needed. Would suggest to make reservations, which is easy.Posted on J G B19 December 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. On arriving to Barcelona for just a few short days of a break (December 2025), I very much had a positive experience in renting a gravel e-bike with Terra Bike Tours. The quality of the bike was great and in excellent working order. Staff member Chiera was professional, technically sharp, and supportive throughout. Outstanding, in fact. Thank-you Chiera and Terra Bike Team for so ably assisting me in connecting with quality cycling in around Barcelona!Posted on Adam Burgener2 December 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is my second time renting from Terrabike tours. They do a great job of service and their bikes are excellent. The gravel bike I rented was great! They provided me many routes for my wahoo computer.
