Itinerary

The tour in detail

Arrival in Granada, one of Spain’s most captivating cities, set at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. After bike fitting and welcome briefing with your local guide, enjoy a 25 km warm-up ride (450 m elevation) through the surrounding Vega de Granada — the perfect way to prepare your legs while soaking in views of the mountains.

Accommodation Example: Hotel Villa Oniria
Distance: 25 km  Elevation: 400 m

Leaving Granada behind, you ride through open countryside and rolling olive groves toward the dramatic gorge of Alhama de Granada. The terrain is varied but manageable, with steady gradients and wide scenic roads. Your reward is a stay at the historic thermal spa hotel, where you can relax and recover after the ride.

Accommodation Example: Balneario de Alhama de Granada
Distance: 60 km | Elevation: 600 m

Today’s stage takes you deeper into Andalusia’s rural interior. Expect expansive landscapes, quiet backroads, and progressive elevation gain as you approach Antequera — known as the “Heart of Andalusia.” This is one of the most complete riding days of the trip, combining rhythm, challenge, and beautiful natural surroundings.

Accommodation Example: Parador de Antequera
Distance: 66 km | Elevation: 900 m

A shorter but scenic stage through limestone formations and natural park terrain. You ride toward the striking turquoise waters of the Guadalhorce reservoir, enjoying smooth roads and steady climbing. The peaceful lakeside setting offers a tranquil atmosphere after the day’s ride.

Accommodation Example: Hotel La Posada del Conde
Distance: 45 km | Elevation: 1600 m

The queen stage of the tour. Rolling terrain and sustained climbs lead you toward one of Spain’s most iconic cycling destinations: Ronda. As you approach, the dramatic cliffside views and historic Puente Nuevo create an unforgettable finale to the journey. Celebrate the accomplishment with a final evening in this legendary Andalusian town.
