Barcelona Classic Climbs: 5 Guided Road Rides from the City to Montserrat

Barcelona’s hills are a road cyclist’s playground, and you are climbing within minutes of leaving the city. Barcelona Classic Climbs is a week of five guided rides, all starting and finishing at our shop, from an easy Collserola loop to the full mountain epic of Montserrat, with a local guide, lunch stops and a road bike included.

Day by day

Day 1 · Tibidabo warm-up

50 km · 900 m

Meet at 10 am for the briefing and bike setup. Climb the Arrabassada through pine woods, drop into Sant Cugat and return over the punchy Forat del Vent.

Day 2 · Serralada de Marina

80 km · 960 m

Up the coast to El Masnou, then inland through Orrius, Argentona and La Roca del Vallès on quiet rural roads, finishing over Tiana and back by the sea.

Day 3 · Sant Llorenç del Munt

114 km · 1,900 m

Through Sabadell and Matadepera to the long Coll d’Estenalles, then the wild conglomerate cliffs around Mura and Sant Llorenç Savall.

Day 4 · Garraf

80 km · 1,250 m

Southwest via Torrelles, including 3 km of smooth gravel, into the pale limestone hills of the Garraf, with a fast descent to Vallirana and a final climb over Santa Creu d’Olorda.

Day 5 · Montserrat (queen stage)

127 km · 2,050 m

Out through Rubí and Terrassa to Rellinars, then the iconic climb to the monastery of Montserrat among its jagged rock towers, and a fast return along the Llobregat.
