Itinerary
The tour in detail
Day 1 – Arrival in the Dolomites
Upon arrival, our team welcomes you at 10AM at Milan Malpensa Airport and handles the transfer to Bormio, a historic alpine town that will serve as your base for the first days.
Once bikes are prepared and fitted, the first ride offers a gentle but memorable introduction to the mountains. The ascent to Torre Fraele unfolds gradually, leading to open landscapes and views over the Cancano lakes. It’s a controlled effort, designed to wake up the legs and begin adapting to altitude while settling into the rhythm of the trip.
Route:Â Torre di Fraele 26 km / 800 m
Meals: Lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Hotel La Genzianella 4*
Day 2 – Bormio to Bolzano: Passo Stelvio
This is a true alpine transition stage, linking two regions through one of the most scenic crossings in the Alps.
Climbing the Stelvio from the Bormio side offers a completely different experience—more rugged, less uniform, and deeply immersive. Waterfalls, tunnels, and changing gradients create a dynamic ascent that rewards focus and consistency.
From the summit, a long descent carries the group into South Tyrol, where the landscape gradually shifts into vineyards and broader valleys.Â
Arriving in Bolzano, the atmosphere changes noticeably, bringing a blend of Italian and alpine culture that defines the region.
Route: 129 km / 1,800 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation Example: Hotel Stiegl Scala 4*
Day 3 – Passo Nigra & Monte San Pietro
This stage explores a lesser-known side of the Dolomites, where local knowledge makes all the difference.
The routes are carefully selected to avoid busy roads and highlight hidden climbs such as Passo Nigra, where steady gradients and forested sections create a completely different riding experience. Monte San Pietro adds variety, combining panoramic views with more rolling terrain.
It’s also a key day for managing fatigue—maintaining a steady effort while continuing to accumulate elevation in a controlled way.
Route: 103 km / 2,500 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Accommodation: Hotel Scala Stiegl 4*
Day 4 – Sella Ronda
After a short transfer, we arrive in Corvara, perfectly positioned in the heart of the Dolomites.
From here, the route follows the Sella Ronda, one of the most celebrated cycling loops in the world. The structure of the ride, four climbs connected in a continuous circuit, creates a unique rhythm, with each ascent offering its own character.
This is a day defined by flow, scenery, and the pure pleasure of riding in one of the most iconic cycling environments on the planet.
Route: 52 km / 1,650 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Accommodation Example: Hotel Gran Fanes 3*Â
Day 5 – Passo Falzarego & Tre Cime di Lavaredo
The final stage is designed as a fitting conclusion to the journey.
After climbing Passo Falzarego, the route continues toward Tre Cime di Lavaredo, arguably one of the most demanding and visually striking climbs in Europe. The gradients become increasingly steep, requiring focus and determination, but the reward is an unforgettable setting at the top.
Following the ride, a transfer from Cortina d’Ampezzo returns the group to Corvara, allowing for a relaxed and well-earned final evening and a farewell dinner at our favourite local restaurant!
Route: 84 km / 2,600 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Hotel Ciutat de Girona

What our clients have to say about us
Posted on Josh Fields6 February 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Incredible resource within the heart of Barcelona. Plenty of well-maintained road and gravel bikes for rent set to fulfill any cycling need you may have. Pump, levers, tube, hex wrench, all included to ensure a safe ride. Helmets and varying pedals are for rent as well. Shop folks were graciously helpful, and ensured I'd had an enjoyable route up in the mountains. If you're looking for the means to make your Barcelona stay the best it can be, saddle up with the help of TBT. During the last years I rent several times bikes at this place, they have road/hybrid/city/gravel as well as mountain bike from mid range alu frame to top of rhe range carbon frame. The staff is friendly, there are all passionate cyclist. A mecanic takes a few minute to do the basic maintenance before each rent. So the bikes are always working perfectly! the great thing is that they aloso provide, helmets, bikepacking bags, cycling shoes!Posted on Natalie Ki5 January 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Such a great service provided by Terra BikeTour We were a drop in day rental for di2 road bikes. Both bikes were in great condition and followed one of their suggested routes. English is spoken in shop if needed. Would suggest to make reservations, which is easy.Posted on J G B19 December 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. On arriving to Barcelona for just a few short days of a break (December 2025), I very much had a positive experience in renting a gravel e-bike with Terra Bike Tours. The quality of the bike was great and in excellent working order. Staff member Chiera was professional, technically sharp, and supportive throughout. Outstanding, in fact. Thank-you Chiera and Terra Bike Team for so ably assisting me in connecting with quality cycling in around Barcelona!Posted on Adam Burgener2 December 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
