Itinerary

The tour in detail

After a private transfer, our team will welcome you with open arms at the hotel in Marrakech.

We will have a light lunch to get to know the team and go over the details for the tour ahead.

After lunch, you have the option to visit Marrakech’s Medina on a short walking tour, before coming back to the hotel and setting up the bikes and reviewing the equipment for the tour ahead.

Meeting point: Hotel 12PM

Accommodation Example: Rawabi Hotel

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Marrakech to Telouet

We will transfer for 1hour outside of Marrakech where our ride will start.

Today is mostly uphill towards the iconic Tichka pass, first on gravel, then on tarmac.

Ride downhill towards Telouet, the old capital of the caravans route and our base for the night.

If time allows, we will visit the Kasbah, the fortress where Pacha Gloui ruled the area from.

Route: 70 km / 1,500 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation Example: Chez Ahmed

Telouet to Tislitday

Beautiful rolling hills day through lush valleys, small roads and rocky desert. A scenic mix of earthy gravel, broken tarmac and wide open landscapes.

We will have lunch in Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO site deep in the Caravan’s Route.

Route: 70 km / 900 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation Example: Irocha Rooms

Tislitday to Amsouzart

Today’s stage takes us up high into the heart of Atlas mountains. A long and steady tarmac road takes us to one of the most beautiful plateaus of this mountain range, overlooking the south side of Mount Toubkal (4167m).

Altitude gravel riding at its finest, followed by a broken downhill to Amsouzart valley, where we will sleep and dinner at a local Amazigh guesthouse, understanding how this culture breathes.

Route: 79 km / 1,800 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation Example: Ryad dar Amsouzart

Amsouzart to Imlil

On day 4, we start the day with an early transfer.

There’s no warm up today, straight uphill into one of the most remote high passes in the Atlas mountain range (2550m)

A long and fun descent will bring us back into civilization, and through apple and cherry groves we will make our way to Imlil, a mountaineering town used by hikers and climbers as a basecamp for Mount Toubkal expeditions.

Route: 75 km / 1,800 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, Dinner
Accommodation Example: Riad Atlas

Again we start the day uphill straight from the hotel’s door up to the highest inhabited villages of the Atlas (2400m).

Long descent before lunch as the weather gets warmer, and a fast ride into Marrakech through buzzing towns, feeling again the thrill of the big city.

After so many tagines and cous-cous, tonight we will celebrate at an italian restaurant!

Ride: 70km 800m
