Itinerary

The tour in detail

We meet in Ljubljana, one of Europe’s greenest capitals, known for its pedestrian center and riverside architecture shaped by Jože Plečnik. After bike fitting and briefing, a relaxed warm-up ride introduces the surrounding countryside and quiet secondary roads. The terrain is gently rolling, ideal for adjusting to the rhythm of the week ahead.

In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner featuring contemporary Slovenian cuisine

Route: Ljubljana Warm Up Ride, 42km 600m
Meals: Dinner
Accommodation Example: City Hotel Ljubljana 4*

Ljubljana – Logarska Dolina

Leaving Ljubljana, we ride north toward the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, gradually transitioning from lowland meadows to alpine scenery. Our destination is Logar Valley (Logarska Dolina), a protected glacial valley known for its dramatic limestone peaks and traditional farmhouses.

The route combines steady climbs with sweeping descents through sparsely populated landscapes. The day concludes in a peaceful alpine setting, surrounded by some of Slovenia’s most pristine nature.

Route: 73 km / 1,300 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation Example: Hotel Plesnik 4*

Logarska Dolina – Bled

Today’s ride connects two of Slovenia’s most iconic alpine regions. Crossing scenic mountain roads, we make our way toward Bled, famous for its glacial lake and medieval clifftop castle.

The terrain features sustained climbs balanced by rewarding descents with expansive views of the Julian Alps. Arriving in Bled, there is time to stroll along the lakeshore or simply relax at the hotel.

Route: 84 km / 1,700 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation Example: Old Bled House 4*

Lake Bohinj Loop

A rolling stage brings us to Lake Bohinj, located within Triglav National Park. Less developed than Bled, Bohinj offers a more secluded alpine atmosphere and exceptionally clear waters fed by surrounding peaks.

The loop ride explores forested roads, traditional villages, and panoramic viewpoints. This is a day to appreciate the environmental stewardship that defines much of Slovenia’s outdoor culture.

Free dinner in Bled.

Bled to Bovec

We ride westward into the heart of the Julian Alps, crossing the legendary Vršič Pass, one of Slovenia’s highest paved mountain passes at 1,611 meters. Built partly by Russian prisoners of war during World War I, the cobbled hairpins remain a historic feature.

The descent leads into the Soča Valley, where the river’s striking emerald color is caused by its limestone bedrock. We finish in Bovec, a small alpine town known for outdoor traditions

Route: 77 km / 1,650 m
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, Dinner
Accommodation Example: Hotel Dobra Vila Bovec 4*

Today’s highlight is the ascent to Mangart Saddle, one of the highest roads in the Eastern Alps, reaching over 2,000 meters. The climb is demanding yet spectacular, with engineered tunnels and exposed sections carved into the rock face.

Views extend toward Italy and the Julian massif, offering a true high-mountain experience. This is a fitting finale, physically rewarding and visually unforgettable.
