Cycling Slovenia and the Julian Alps: Ljubljana, Bled, Vršič and the Mangart Saddle

Slovenia fits an astonishing variety into a small country: baroque old towns, glacial valleys, emerald rivers and some of the highest roads in the Eastern Alps. Our guided Slovenia cycling tour rides from Ljubljana into the Julian Alps, crossing the legendary Vršič Pass and finishing above 2,000 m on the Mangart Saddle, with boutique 4★ hotels every night.

77 km · 1,650 m

The cobbled hairpins of the Vršič (1,611 m), built during the First World War, then down into the Soča Valley and its unreal emerald river.

The finale: one of the highest roads in the Eastern Alps, with tunnels carved into the rock and views to Italy. Farewell dinner in Bovec.
