Some teams already ride. Half the office has a road bike at home and the Monday conversation is about Strava. For them, the Garraf coast road is the best team building day we run: 45 km from our shop in Barcelona to Sitges, on a road that hangs over the Mediterranean, with lunch by the beach at the end.
The route, step by step
- 09:00 – Bike fitting at the shop. Everyone gets a carbon road bike set to their height, pedals of their choice and a helmet. The guides give a ten-minute briefing on riding in a group.
- 09:45 – Out of the city. We follow the Llobregat cycle paths and the beach towns to Castelldefels. It is flat and calm, a good warm-up for people who have not ridden in a group before.
- 11:00 – The Garraf coast road. The best part of the day: about 12 km of bends, small climbs and bays, with the sea below on your left. We regroup at every viewpoint.
- 12:30 – Sitges. Arrival on the promenade and the team photo nobody minds taking.
- 13:30 – Lunch by the sea. Paella or a seasonal menu at a beach restaurant. The support van takes bikes and riders back to Barcelona afterwards.
Two groups, one team
Road teams always have a few fast riders and a few who would rather enjoy the view. We split the group into a steady and a faster group, each with its own guide, and both meet at the same stops. Nobody waits too long and nobody is left at the back.
Who it suits
Teams where most people already ride, sales kick-offs with a sporty crowd, or a leadership group that wants a real challenge. If the group is mixed, our gravel or eMTB days are a better fit.
